Bypass 100mb Cellular Limit

My IPad wouldn't download more than 100mb, said I had to use WiFi only. Luckily I have an Android phone and turned that hotspot on instead. Connected the IPad to it and then I could download anything I wanted.

Use Wi-Fi connection instead?

There's no way to bypass the 100MB limits, as suggested use Wi-Fi.

Ha Ha Ha iPhones are so dumb, how is this for utter stupidity, my Wife and I are away for the weekend, and my work iPhone 6 informed me of a new iOS update 9.3.4 available, when I went to instal it, it said a WIFI connection was needed due to the size of the download So I ignored it.

Then later on I tethered the same phone to my Macbook Pro to use as an internet connection, and during this I ran iTunes and it said the connected phone has an update available to 9.3.4, so I clicked update and now its downloading the update over the same phone.

Bahahahahaha how stupid is this?

It's not stupid at all. Your Macbook was tethered to your iPhone via WiFi, so iTunes had no way to recognize that the iPhone was connected to the internet via cellular and downloaded the update to iTunes via WiFi. You still had to use iTunes to perform the update, no?

Really it does not know the difference huh, then how come it changes the icon to a tethered icon?

SImple. Because it's tethered via wifi, not cellular. Look in your settings and you will see that your phone hotspot is listed under wifi.

for alot of us the 4g on the iphone is 4 or 5 times faster that the wifi. so why put the silly small limit. if there needs to be a limit make is something like 1gb.
